I guess I'm not too obsessed

From [livejournal.com profile] green_fae: How much LJ am I? )

The sun has come out again after a period of rain, which started about 30 seconds before I left the house. Of course. I think it ended about five minutes after I got back. Of course. I'll probably go for a walk in a while, and it'll probably rain again.

I watched Match Point last night, and it was a disappointment. I had heard good things about it, so even though I haven't liked anything by Woody Allen in a long time, I gave it a try. It was billed as a thriller, but only about five minutes of it were truly tense. I would like to see, just once, a film of his that has nothing to do with adultery (he seems obsessed with it, which should give his partner pause, I should think). The dialogue seemed stilted, and strange coming from British actors; he wrote in the same style he usually does for American actors. It just didn't work. The main character seemed to drift through events, so it was hard to believe he was calculating. Even Scarlett Johansson was dull, which isn't an easy thing to do. I think I'm done with Woody Allen.

In the few minutes that I've been typing, the sky has gotten all dark and threatening again. Oh, well!

Made it out!

After another thunderstorm the sun came out again, so I took advantage of the break and went out for a walk. I headed into the cemetery, where the grass was shimmering with drops of water. I found this fellow; I had walked by him countless times, but never noticed. There's always something new to discover!

It got quite chilly, too. The world looked sparkling, washed clean. A nice way to end the weekend. :)
