Imbolc accomplished

We had a lovely Imbolc ritual last night (despite the fact that I invoked the watchtower of the east instead of west). The comfort foods feast was delicious as always, and ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif){kind=small}
sea_dark_wine was excited that there was leftover meatloaf. *g*leenah and I both stayed overnight, and we had a lovely, sunny morning. Nike the cat found a nice sunny spot, and actually didn't run away when I grabbed my camera (she's rather shy).
After breakfast, I headed over to mom's for a visit. She loaded me up with goodies (including more cookies, which will be going to work with me tomorrow) and I loaded her up with books. It was a fair exchange. :)
I'm glad to be back home. I'll probably watch a movie and go to bed early. I have no desire to watch the big game; I don't really care about either team, nor the multimillion-dollar commercials. I'm glad other people enjoy it, it's just not for me. If you care, I hope your team wins!

That's a really fine picture of Nike... last night someone remarked that she looks "well-fed", but this photo seems to hint at her strength and musculature, not the extra winter layer of fat!

food: I stopped on the way over and picked up a couple lbs of wings. It was the first thing I saw when I walked into Big Y and I knew someone would eat them. After ritual S. put them on the coffee table and 10 minutes later he pointed and chuckled that he thought they were a hit. I looked over and all that was left was a pile of clean bones. I guess comfort food is relative!
