we spoke too soon

What was that I was saying a couple of weeks ago about there not being a winter this year? Mother Nature is, as usual, laughing at us as a snowstorm is set to dump on us this Wednesday. At least it's not anything like what they've gotten in central NY! I do believe they've broken the record there.

I'm kind of hoping it's *really* bad, so I can justify staying home. A snow day would be kind of fun. As long as I don't lose power, that is!

It seemed like a slow day today, but when I look back at all I've done, it was a pretty good day. Several new ads, and renewals of several more. Yay! It was a nice, sunny day, too. When I took the mail out, it almost felt warm.

Hey, does anyone have any suggestions for houseplants that don't need a lot of light? I'd really like to have something green in my apartment, but I live on the Northwest corner of my building, so I get sunshine for about two hours in the afternoon, and that's it. Would a fern like those conditions?

I remember in 1999 or 2000, I think it was, when we had a whole winter in Melrose with naught but a dusting here and there. And then on April 1, 38". *POW*

Yeah, very funny, O weather Gods...

That was in '97. I remember because my arm was in a sling, and I couldn't help Francis dig out the driveway.

That Long Ago?

Oy.

Isn't that one of the signs of getting old; when you start remembering things "as though they were yesterday?"

Uh-oh.
