if it's not one thing, it's another

Even though the weather hadn't washed out the morning, I still didn't make it to Grafton to volunteer at the farm. My back, which has been bothering me for a couple of days, really flared up today, and I couldn't sit in the car for the hour's drive, let alone bend over rows of vegetables. I'm bummed.

Rest, Advil, and hot pads have helped a bit, but I'm feeling wiped.

I went for a walk earlier, but it started raining so I didn't get far. It's getting quite dark out now. Here comes Hanna!

I think I'll lay down again now.

Owie.

Raining here, too--this can make back pain feel worse.

Is it center back, or lower back? I used to get bad muscle spasms--heat does help (hot baths, heating pads or hot water bottles) but once you feel better maybe try some gentle stretching too. Hope you get better soon!

It's actually around my shoulder blades. Usually when I have back trouble, it's my lower back.

I'm doing some very gentle stretches, and it does help a bit.

Thanks!
