I finished the new Harry Potter book this afternoon. I tried to make it last as long as possible, making myself stop reading each night. Once I got to the last three or so chapters, however, I had to keep reading until the end.

I knew it was going to be Dumbledore that dies. Unfortunately, I had read a review that said there was a major death. I kinda wish I hadn't read that, although her pattern the past couple of books would have pointed in that direction. Even though I knew it was going to be him, I still cried. Poor Harry! He keeps losing the most important people in his life.

I think all the criticism that the book is too dark is unfair. The world is a dark place sometimes. Ask anyone who lives in Iraq. Or London, for that matter.

I don't really believe Snape has gone evil. I think he & Dumbledore had an understanding. It really seemed that way at the end. I think he was protecting Harry and even Draco. I don't think Dumbledore would have believed in him for nothing. I didn't expect him to turn out to be the Half Blood Prince, though!

I can't wait for the next movie to come out. I think I have to reread all of the books from the beginning now!

Oh, and yay Lance, #7!

Dumbledore was the likely candidate for death. That sounds cold and Charles Bronson-like, but hey, I knew it would come...

I must admit, I had a mean case of the warm and fuzzies when I saw that Lance won again. Also, he was the best thing about Dodgeball.
