calm waters

All of the ice on the pond down the street has melted. Two weeks ago, people were skating here! I've never seen it melt so fast, and it hasn't been *that* warm. Wow.

There were at least a hundred geese on the pond. They seem quite happy to see open water there.







There were a few people there enjoying the nice afternoon.



It was too swampy to get close to the skunk cabbage, but it's coming up like gangbusters.



I'm not feeling all that much better today, and I slept poorly again, but it was nice to sit in the park and watch the geese. Soon it will be the weekend, and hopefully I can enjoy it. It's supposed to be really nice all weekend.
