Wednesday at the park

Another gorgeous day, another walk to the park. I was hoping that the swans would be back by now, but alas, not yet. There were plenty of geese (and plenty of goose poo), the trees are budding, and I found another creature hiding out in last year's leaves.



I've seen him in the pond before, but he always gets away before I can get a picture. Today, he was just sitting there; like yesterday's snake, I think he was a little groggy from his winter's nap.

The moss is throwing up its tendrils, seeking out the sun.



The buds are swelling on the trees.



Just in time for spring. :)

That shadow on the grass is gorgeous! It's nice to see the turtles showing their faces again, too.
