When all else fails with a Mac and a stuck disc, reboot. Usually it will eject anything inside on shut down and you can grab it then. :)
My husband was home alone with our new Mac mini and was so embarrassed to call me at work to ask how to eject a disc! ;) contests on the " new " computer! Every mac I have ever owned still runs! They either became woefully outdated, I could no longer get software updates, or the power cord jack went. They may get outpaced by new technology but they are built to last!
