lilacs!
I wanted to see (and smell!) the lilacs at the Arnold Arboretum before they were gone, so on Friday I headed over there, joined by my friend W, who lives not far from me. It wasn't the sunniest of days, but it was pretty nice, and the lilacs were amazing as always.
We also checked out the bonsai collection, some of which are over 200 years old!
There was lots of wonderful wisteria, too.
We walked back through the willow path, where a friendly robin sat still long enough for me to take his portrait.
I sure do love those lilacs!
It was a fun excursion. I don't miss living in the city, but I do miss being near the Arboretum.
