classic TV goodness

Perusing the new releases page on Netflix, I discovered that Beauty and the Beast is coming out on DVD this week! Needless to say, it's found its way to the top of my queue. I loved that show. Who didn't love Vincent?

What do you get after almost two weeks of subfreezing temperatures? Lots of really cool ice, that's what! I went down to the wildlife sanctuary at Stanley Park this afternoon, and took lots of pix in the woods along the river. Click the link to see more!

I have to say that I have yet to see much wildlife there; mostly birds, and the kind you see every day. I did hear a woodpecker, but I couldn't find it up in the trees.

Some of the paths weren't very passable, what with all the ice. I had to backtrack at one point, being unwilling to skate my way across one ice patch. A guy and his dog toughed it out, but I didn't feel like risking it. Next time, I should take those ice tread thingies that my mom gave me.

It's amazing how warm 30 degrees feels after several days in the 'teens!
