whoa nelly

At about 4:00, I decided that sticking around for another hour was going to be unbearable, so I called my boss on her cell and asked if I could close up the front office. I was the only one on that side of the building, and I sincerely doubted anyone else would call or come in. She said OK, so I headed out.

As I was getting out of the car at home, I felt the first drops of rain. It's now coming down like cats & dogs!

I live just to the left of the S in Springfield. It's just as well that they canceled the fireworks!

I think I hear the first drops hitting the air conditioner.

*Does happy dance*

Thanks for the heads-up on the storms.

I love your part of the world. Downpours and all.

Storms are beautiful in their might (as long as I'm inside).

We got the same storm a whlle later. I was darker at 6:30 than it was at 8 pm. We've had several storms with lots of thunder and lightening recently, but this was the first one with hail.

Wow! We had quickly darkening skies followed by hard rain about 6:30, too, but only for a few minutes.
