I stopped at Radio Shack on the way home, and they had just what I needed, and for only $8.99. Yay, Radio Shack! So the new baby is charging up. I think I may take her out for a spin tomorrow, if it's not too hot. I can treat myself to an iced (decaf) mocha at Starbucks for my birthday, right?

Isn't she lovely? For a Windows machine, that is. ;)

Yes, I am a die-hard Mac person, but for $8.99? I'll be a part-time PC person.

I have to get some stickers to spruce her up. And she needs a name. Any suggestions? Maybe that will be my first poll. *g*

My computers always have names of Goddesses. It just seems to work well. Currently my computer's name is Minerva.

Ooh, that's a good idea! I'll have to look at some good Goddess names. Thanks! :)

It actually started out as a fluke. When I worked at ComputerVision, I inherited a computer named Pegasus. The next one I got was a brand new, unnamed one. I decided to continue the "mythology" tradition and named it Astarte. Since then between work and home, I've had a Diana, Athena, a second Astarte, and a Cerridwin.
