Gargoyle, originally uploaded by Lizzie~Belle.

This is the first pic I took with the iPad. I thought it fit, since the gargoyle was also the subject of my first pix with the new camera when I got it.

I spent my whole lunch break playing with the iPad. Downloaded a bunch of apps. One of them was Kindle, and it just occurred to me that I have a few bucks left on those gift cards at Amazon... any recommendations? Authors, are any of your books on Kindle?

I plan to go down to the library on Saturday to play some more, and to see if I can borrow e-books on it. That would be uber cool.

With all the crap I've been through the past few years, it's nice to have something squee-worthy for a change. :)

Yes, I noticed they have a free section. I'll have to browse through it. :)

Presumably you can also run one of the other ereaders, like Stanza, which means you can access all the free classics on Project Gutenberg. I know they're doing Kindle versions now as well, but I've heard that the epub versions are better formatted. Also epub enables you to buy other ebooks, for example those on the Bookview Cafe site.

Cool, thanks!
