roses & doggies

I walked down to Stanley Park this morning, so I could get some rose shots in the sunlight. Oh, my goodness, what treasures are there!

Up on the field, there were some big white tents:



I went up to see what was going on, and it turned out to be an Old English Sheepdog Rescue group!



The woman in the picture is very nice; she has rescued three dogs. The one on the left is deaf. They're really sweet doggies, and quite hairy! Most of them had the short haircut, which I'm sure is a relief in this weather.

There were other dogs there, too, like this pretty poodle:

It was quite muggy toward the end of my walk, and all afternoon it's threatened to storm, but nothing beyond a couple of rumbles and a few drops of rain.

I finally gave up on my Kodak software; it just wasn't cooperating, so I trashed it. I'm tired of fighting with it. I used iPhoto instead, which doesn't do as much, but it works.

I have to think of something fun for tomorrow: it's Nature Photography Day!
