relief
Today was the last hurdle I had to clear before I could officially breathe again, and I cleared it. Many thanks to all who offered help, moral support, and virtual hugs; I would never have made it without you. I still have a ways to go, but the hardest part is past.
Now I can relax, and look forward to my NYC trip with S, who deleted her LJ. I've been so worried, I couldn't even think about that.
I did something today that I haven't done in years: I bought a pair of shoes. All of my shoes are pretty beat up, but I really don't have any comfortable walking shoes. My sneakers are falling apart, and my walking sandals are on their way out. I went to Kohl's, and found a nice pair of sneaker-like slingbacks that are very comfortable, and they were even on sale. I can wear them to work too, so it's not too much of an indulgence. So now I won't be hobbling after two days of walking around New York.
Whee! I'm going to New York! :D
