messy day

It was a slushy, messy commute into work this morning. But! Look who came to visit us! Juneau and her (newish) sister, Dakota! What a pair of sweeties.

It's been raining since I got here, after snowing all night. Not far west of here, it was mostly snow, and lots of people have lost their power. Yikes. I know ours went out sometime during the night, because the clocks on my microwave and VCR are at zero. Luckily, I have a battery backup on my alarm.


This is what was on the roads, trees, and shrubs this morning:



Yuck. Most of it has washed away, and there is more rain in the forecast for tomorrow, then (supposedly) snow for Friday. Yep, it's February all right. *g*

I will be so happy when this winter is over. I'm always happy when winter is over, but this one has been weird. Just gotta get through March. :P
