on ice

ice drips, originally uploaded by Lizzie~Belle.

I walked down to the bank this morning, and as I was walking back, it was drizzling. The drizzle eventually turned into rain, which is now freezing. My forsythia is coated in ice.

I'm not going anywhere tonight, but what concerns me is the already heavy snow on top of us, now soaked in rain and freezing. Also, I think the shrub outside my bedroom window has tipped over (it has a couple feet of snow on top of it). I'm pretty sure it didn't lean toward the sidewalk like that before. I won't know for sure until the snow melts.

This winter is getting a bit scary. Stay safe and warm, y'all!

Weather much the same here: woods-walking is out, not only because of the depth of snow and the icy crust, but because somethings things go *crash.* The ice dripples *are* pretty though!

It's actually above freezing today, and the sun is out! Let's hope some of this stuff melts.

It'll be a long, long while before you get rid of that lot!! Ours took a week or more to shift in places, and we had nothing compared to your mammoth snowfall!

Oh, I'm sure it'll be April before we see grass. ;)

Thanks! I'm fortunate that I don't pay for heat, and my little apartment is pretty cozy.
