a little sunshine

The sun came out this afternoon, so I ran out to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine. I've been reading ROOM by Emma Donoghue, and it was making me feel a bit claustrophobic. It felt good to be outside.

I've been feeling trapped for a while now, mostly because it's winter but also because I haven't gone *anywhere* in so long. Then ami_1 proposed a girls' weekend this spring, her treat, and a flurry of plans has us going to New York in April. I haven't spent time in NYC since, gosh, probably college. Too long. I've been wanting to go for the longest time. So, yay, something to look forward to! Thank goodness for wonderful friends who take good care of me. <3

I love the golden colour of the dried flower. The sun really makes things seem more cheerful.
