good-bye, winter

woods, reflected, originally uploaded by Lizzie~Belle.

The water is much higher this week; it must be all that melting snow. There's still some snow and ice in the woods, but it's competing with mud for space now.

The river is quite high, too.

I also found my first crocuses of the year!

first crocuses!

I celebrated the super full moon between the frog pond and the peeper pond. Oh! And I heard my first frog of the season! He was croaking away down by the storage yard. Hopefully soon the peepers will start singing. I'll have to go down there near sunset tomorrow. My feet have had quite enough for today.

The reflections of the trees in the water is so lovely.

I'm expecting to hear the frogs on the lake any day now!

It's such a pretty spot when the water is high. :)

Yay, frogs!

Hmmm. I may have reason to think about making a book trailer which has to do with rivers, pretty soon. That little video of yours, would it be available for such a purpose...?

It could be! Email me (ariadne dot belle at gmail dot com) and we can discuss it. :)

Lovely photos, well up to your usual standard!!! Our crocuses are now almost over - we're almost into the daffodil season.

Thank you!

We're way behind last year, but this is normal for us. There's even more snow in the forecast (not much, but still...).

Oh, Bleaugh! Poor you...
