This has been the most popular pic on my Flickr stream lately. A lot of folks have been searching for tiger lily pix on Yahoo, it seems. I like it because it's in-your-face cheerful. Also, there's an ant hidden amongst the spots.

I'm posting a cheerful pic because I was expecting today to be unpleasant, but it turned out to be merely inconvenient in places. Plus I had a nice walk in the sunshine.

Tomorrow promises to be warm, but grey and damp. Ah well, can't win 'em all! I'm just happy because February is almost over. That, and CVS had Cadbury dark chocolate mini eggs. *g*

They're going to reopen the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas! Thank you, J. J. Abrams, for rekindling interest in all things Trek.

I've been to the Experience three times, and I've always hoped to go again. It was at the top of my "must see" list the first time I went to Vegas. I can't tell you how cool it was to be standing on the bridge of the Enterprise, looking at a viewscreen that had Riker and Geordie on it.

Star Trek has been a part of my life since I was little, and the show was new. Yeah, I've been a Trekkie since I was 6 or 7. ;) It's part of our national mythology.

I cannot wait for the new movie!
