This is one of the few actual souvenirs I bought in Vegas; I mostly bought refrigerator magnets and took matchbooks from places I visited, but this little Venus tickled my fancy, and she currently lives on my desk at work to remind me that I once went there.

They're going to reopen the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas! Thank you, J. J. Abrams, for rekindling interest in all things Trek.
I've been to the Experience three times, and I've always hoped to go again. It was at the top of my "must see" list the first time I went to Vegas. I can't tell you how cool it was to be standing on the bridge of the Enterprise, looking at a viewscreen that had Riker and Geordie on it.
Star Trek has been a part of my life since I was little, and the show was new. Yeah, I've been a Trekkie since I was 6 or 7. ;) It's part of our national mythology.
I cannot wait for the new movie!
