baby, it's hot outside

This was the temperature as I was getting home from work. Yeah, that's hot.

I thought I just heard thunder, but it turned out to be a fighter jet from the base nearby. I did see some awesome clouds earlier, though.




This sweet little ginger kitty thought it would be more fun to come over and play than sit and pose for me.



And of course there were irises.





I kept the A/C on low and the shades down all day, so it's nice and cool in here. A cool shower helped, too. Even that short walk left me dripping.

The weekend promises to be cooler, and it's a long one! Yay.
