Not as much sun as promised today, but it was a mostly nice day. I went for a long walk, through the park and wildlife sanctuary, and I saw some amazing things.
Right next to the boardwalk, there was a pair of snakes entwined on a downed tree.
That pink Lady's Slipper came up in the same spot again this year.
I also found yellow Lady's Slipper.
It feels like I missed a chunk of spring because of all the rain. The trout lily, daffodils, and magnolia are long gone. The tulips are almost past.
The irises are just starting to open. I even saw buds on the rose bushes. Summer flowers will be here soon, and spring will be a memory.
