Getting ready

I'm leaving for Sirius Rising in a few days, so I have a ton of stuff to do this weekend. Laundry, last-minute shopping, packing! A lot of work for three days of bliss. Worth every bit.

I'm a bit bummed because normally I would be arriving there today. Most of my friends are on their way right now. I couldn't afford the whole week this time 'round, not to mention that I couldn't afford to take that many days off. On the poor side I am, this summer.

But then I start my new job, the day after I get back! That's exciting. I'm feeling less sad about leaving MDA, now that it's a reality. Truth is, I *am* getting a bit burnt out. And I'm really glad I won't be there for the big Springfield lock-up. Lots of pressure there. They have to recruit 800 jailbirds! Yeesh. Glad I don't have to look at *those* numbers.

Gotta go to the Post Office this morning and send out some of my ebay sales. Some dork in South Korea managed to miss my two postings that I only ship to the US and won two of my auctions. Actually, they won three, but when they complained about the shipping (what did they expect? It's going to South Korea for goodness sake!) I offered them to the next highest bidder, and one sold. You know, $9 isn't all that bad for Global Priority. And it's a heckuva lot easier for me to deal with. Now, I am putting "I only ship to US addresses" in larger font size! And I've added "No exceptions!" Gah! Foreigners. ;)
