Ahhhhhhhh...
Jul. 23rd, 2004 05:45 pm...the weekend is here! Today was rather boring compared to the rest of the week. The computers were down, so there was a long wait, followed by a flurry of activity, followed by another long wait. So the day crept by. Next week, my coworker Kim will be back from vacation, so I will get to start really working. That should be more interesting. I'll get to learn the day-to-day stuff.
I sat with the editorial manager today. He's an interesting guy. I told him I'm with the Pagan Pride Day folks, and someone had told me that they were the first ones to contact PPD when the press release was sent out. He said that feature prompted a lot of mail, most of it negative. But he loved it! He likes to shake things up a bit, push the boundaries. I like that in a person. :) He told me they would do a feature on PPD ahead of time, and send a reporter to the event. Cool beans! He also said to keep an eye out for local happenings here in Westfield. Hey, maybe this could lead to some writing assignments down the line! That would be uber cool.
Not much going on tonight. A new episode of "Monk" is all that's on my plate. And a date with a York peppermint pattie. Trés exciting! Opened up the last bottle of wine from the Johnson Estates that I bought out near Brushwood last year. Spiced red wine! Not the best weather for spiced wine, but it's all I've got. It'll do.
