Man, I was looking forward to a nice, relaxing extra day off today. And then one of the email lists I'm on exploded. I think it's over now, but it was nasty and intense there for a while. How does that happen? Why do people feel they can type words that they would never speak face-to-face? And why do people continue to fan the flames? I'll never understand it. Flame wars are a mystery to me.

I did manage to get some stuff done around the house today. I filled three bags with clothes to take to the Salvation Armani, packed away a bunch of my summer stuff (sniff!) and rearranged some things in the kitchen. I have two micro counters, one on either side of the sink; I had the dish drainer on the left, next to the stove, and the microwave on the right. I decided to put the microwave on the table, and the dishrack on the right. It looks better, and I think it'll be easier to prepare food on the counter instead of the table. Yay! I did something productive! I found another container of pork & apples from Mom in the freezer, too. Yum!

It's cold today! I had to close the window a bit, there was a chilly breeze coming in. I guess it really is fall! The trees are starting to get colorful. Such a bittersweet time of year.
