pagan day

Yesterday was a really fun day. I went out to the farm in Grafton to help the SEF make backdrops for next week's Samhain ritual. It's going to be an Egyptian journey to the Underworld. They got these huge canvas tarps that we projected pictures onto and traced. It's gonna look so cool! They didn't like the face of Nepthys, so I was the model; they had me stand still while Jennifer traced my profile. Cool! I'm a goddess!

After 3:00 there was a workshop on grounding going on. While I was getting high from marker fumes, there was a group of people a few feet away doing these cool exercises. That was interesting.

I went from there to the PVNP potluck at Arlene's house in Ludlow. There was a bad accident on the Pike; one of the cars was upside-down in a ditch. The police hadn't even gotten there yet when I went by. Two of the people who came to the potluck said they had to wait while a mediflight landed on the Pike to take one of the victims to the hospital. :::shiver:::

The potluck was really fun. There were a bunch of folks there, and we went outside to do some drumming after we ate. One of the neighbors, who seemed a bit tipsy, came over to tell us that he loved it and we had his support. Or something like that. He was funny.

After Todd & Kristen left, with some of the drums (and the best drummer), we went inside and just chatted. That was really nice. I finally fizzled out a little after nine. Mike told me this morning they were there until 1:00. Wow!

Mike called me this morning to talk about what we're going to do about Nash, and for Samhain. I told him I really don't think Nash should be on the board anymore. She's just too unpredictable, and keeps stirring things up. This week, she posted something about having to let one of her nurses go because she was neglecting Korbin. Well, this nurse happens to be on the list, and has hosted a couple of events. Even though Nash didn't mention her name, there are enough of us on the list that know this to figure out who she was talking about. That was totally uncalled for, and another example of innapropriate behavior on Nash's part. It's divisive, and just plain mean. She clearly isn't leadership material. Several people have emailed me privately to express disgust, and to ask why she hasn't been removed. Good questions. So we're having a meeting on tuesday to talk about this stuff.

I really don't like discord, and I'm not a confrontational person. My natural instinct is to be a peacemaker. I think that's a Leo trait. I'm also the person who says what everybody else is thinking, and sometimes it gets me into trouble. Especially when I hit too close to home. My mom hates it. She says I'm being blunt. I say I'm just being honest.
