Today was one of those days that make me resolve to go on a diet. There was food, and lots of it, all day. A lot of people took tomorrow off, so today was our office celebration. I brought in the shortbread (it came out yummy!), Diane brough a pepperoni roll, they fed us pizza for lunch, there were cookies & candy everywhere, and even Kim brought in donuts. Sheesh!

We did the secret Santa thing, and I got a nice oil-dipping set with olives painted on it. I still don't know who my secret Santa was! They haven't come forward. I really like it! Tom gave us all a $10 gift certificate to Romito's, which is a nice deli down the street. Yay! I can treat myself to lunch out some day.

The classifieds didn't get finished; Beth asked if it would be OK to do them in the morning. I said "sure!" It's not like I'll have anything else to do tomorrow.

Wow, the rain is really coming down! I can hear it hitting the window in waves. It was really warm today, up into the 50s. But really windy. I walked down to CVS at lunch and got this adorable Santa hat with a spring on top. We saw some folks wearing them at the holiday party, and it was only four bucks so I bought it. Everybody loved it. I look like a Who from Whoville in it. I am definitely a hat person. I wanted antlers, but they were out. But this hat is just as fun.

I got Spiderman 2 from Netflix today. Maybe I'll take it home with me tomorrow and we can watch it at Mom's. I don't know if any of them have seen it yet. Very enjoyable flick. I went to see that in Jamestown the day I got to Brushwood last summer; it was raining really hard and we didn't feel like hanging out under the tarp, so a bunch of us went to the movies. That was fun. I hadn't done that before. That was the night I slept in my car because there wasn't a dry spot to put my tent. My legs were so cramped the next morning! After Jim left, I took his spot (and his tarp) and stayed dry the rest of the weekend. I hope it doesn't rain next year at camp! We've had two sucky years in a row, we're due for a spectacular week. Putting in the order now.

OK, I see that I'm rambling, so maybe I'll go see what I can rustle up for dinner. Not that I need more food, but I'll be starving in the morning if I don't eat anything. Something light...
