Balmy

It's up to a balmy sixteen degrees here in sunny East Longmeadow! Quite an improvement over yesterday, which didn't get over 8 or 9. And no wind. That wind yesterday just cut right through ya.

So now we're just waiting for the snow to start. Not much, so they're saying, but just in time for the drive home. Great. And now they think there may be a snowstorm this weekend. Wheeee!

Hey, my car started right up this morning! The wonders of a new battery.

I keep thinking back to those winters, about ten years ago now, where we had over 100 inches of snow. This is nothing, I keep telling myself. And I don't have to pay for heat. That's a blessing; I heard on the news this morning that the cost of heating with oil is up something like 37% over last year. I can't imagine having to make the choice between eating and staying warm. My problems surely are trivial.
