lizziebelle: (apple blossoms)
Today was one of those days you never think is going to end. People with problems, both coworkers and customers. Gah! They all converge on me on Mondays.

Lunchtime was nice, though; the sun finally came out, and I went down to the park to read and watch the swans. There was a fellow in the parking lot next to ours playing the bagpipe. How cool is that? He was playing "Amazing Grace," which I love. Someone once sang words about Pan to that tune; I must get him to write them down for me.

I had a coupon from CVS for $4 off a $20 purchase, so I decided to get an adapter for my portable CD player to play in the tape deck in my car. The one I had bit the dust. I'm sick of all my tapes, and I haven't gotten around to making new ones. I have a lot of CDs that I never listen to, because I just don't think of it when I'm at home. Except when I'm doing housework; somehow it flows more easily if I have something raucous playing like Stevie Ray Vaughn or the Stray Cats.

My old roomie had a car accident over the weekend. I'm worried about her; she's been having mini-strokes for a couple of years now, and I'm afraid that's what happened to her. She's OK; a bit sore, but nothing broken (except the car). Maybe it's for the best; she won't be on the road for a while. (For those of you who know more than one of my old roomies, it was Holly)

OMG, even the Food Network is having a reality show. Oy vay! Hasn't this trend burnt itself out yet? Enough already!

I took a walk over to the cemetery next door and took pix of the flowers. Some crabapples, forget-me-nots, grape hyacinths, and tiny oak & maple leaves. It was a nice evening for a walk. If only I could figure out how to post pictures here! It's beyond my ken.
