all by my lonesome

I've spent most of the day out in the front office today, because one of the gals is off. Right now, the receptionist is in a training and my other coworker is at lunch, so I'm all alone up here with no music even. Boo.

I know, whining doesn't become me. OK, done whining now.

I could easily put my head down on the desk and go to sleep. My sleep cycle is still off from being up late last weekend, and a couple of nights this week as well. I have yet to see the Smallville season finale from Wednesday; I will attempt to stay awake for 90 minutes in a row this evening so I can watch it, then go to bed. I will doubtless be up late again tomorrow at Berta & Cheryl's annual BBQ spectacular. Which I am really looking forward to! Will see lots of honeys there, eat lots of yummy food, and drink all sorts of delicious concoctions I am sure.

Last night we had another meeting to finalize plans for the Litha gathering on June 4. I think this will be a nice little gathering! I hope enough people show up to cover the cost of the park so we can do it again next year. It's kind of like a mini PPD.

I was talking with Mike (our managing editor extraordinaire) the other day about movies, as usual, and we got to talking about Bubba Ho Tep. I knew he'd have seen it, and have liked it, which he did. We started talking about Bruce Campbell, and he offered to lend me his autographed copy of Bruce's book. Cool beans! I have to finish Jonathan Strange & Mr Norell first, though. That's one thick book! I'm enjoying it, though. Got a few folks at the gathering last weekend interested in it as well! Always happy to spread the word on a good book.

Must find something to amuse myself with until I get the proof. I wish I was at my own desk! Oops, sorry, didn't mean to whine again. But it's too quiet out here!
