lizziebelle: (little me)
Woke up on my own this morning, with no help from the police this time. Still earlier than I would have liked, but it gives me time to catch up on LJ before heading out to my sister's later this morning. We're thinking about catching a movie this afternoon, even though neither of us has any idea what's playing that we would all like to see. I'd like to see V for Vendetta, but I seriously doubt I could get mom & sis to agree to that one. I fear we may end up seeing something like Ice Age 2. Then we'll get Chinese takeout or something. By then, Willow will be back from her dad's, so I'll get to spend time with her. I realized this morning that I don't think I've seen them since my bro was up visiting in January.

There's a fun little story in the NYT this morning about why celebrities name their kids odd things, like Apple. I think Frank Zappa started the whole thing. My sister and I used to call our brother Dweezil.

Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it. To everybody else: chocolate goes on sale tomorrow! *g*

I'm checking in with LJ from my sister's place. We went to see Thank You for Smoking at the theatre today. Pretty good flick. Entertaining and thought provoking. Then we got Chinese takeout. Yummmm. Then Mom went home, because she crashes early. Sis and I watched Chicago, because Mom had my copy of it and she hadn't seen it before. Love that movie. Willow got home and the silliness commenced. She is such a 13-year-old. ;)

I watched Desperate Housewives for the first time in months, and I'm afraid it hasn't gotten any better since I gave up on it. I don't know what it is; maybe the novelty has worn off or something. I just don't find it so funny anymore. And now I have my Sunday nights back, so it's all good.
