I did have a couple of nice things happen to me today. Both of them over the phone, even. The first was a customer telling me I'm great (customer: "You're the best!" me: "I know!")(yes, really!). The second was my mother, telling me she'll light a candle for me at her drum circle on Friday. There's nothing like having your mother comfort you when you're feeling down.

As the song says, I will survive. :)

Prehistoric ecosystem found in Israeli cave! And it's not from the Weekly World News! Very cool.

I started the day off by stopping at Mrs. Murphy's Donuts on the way to work. I figured a day that starts with donuts has to be better, right? My coworkers agreed. In the car, I heard Weird Al's "I Lost on Jeopardy," and sang along. I took it as a sign that the day would be a better one. My boss called in sick; coincidence?

One of my customers, who placed an ad for her Mary Kay business, brought me in some skincare samples. That was nice of her! I had told her that I missed getting free stuff since I don't sell cosmetics anymore. No more Chanel eye cream for me! (Which is, BTW, the best eye cream ever. If you ever have $65 burning a hole in your pocket, buy some)

The Endicott Studios has a new page of resources for writers here. Great stuff! I now have a new list of books to look for. *g*
