The Cosmic Muffin has died of cancer. I remember hearing him on 'BCN; he was always upbeat and funny. I love how the article mentions his husband without any sense of irony or snarkiness. I do love my state sometimes! (Sometimes it drives me batty, like when it elects a Republican, Mormon governor. But that's a rant for another time)

Just counting down the hours until I am out of here for the weekend. Fortunately, it's a bit earlier than usual this week. I reminded Kim yesterday that I was leaving early, which she had, of course, forgotten. Hee! They do that to me so often, it's nice to be on the other end for a change.
I just spoke with a woman wanting to place a childcare ad, and I would have serious qualms about placing a kid in her care. She couldn't figure out that offering childcare and looking for childcare are two different things. She kept saying that she was looking for childcare, and then when she tells me what she wants in the ad, it turns out that she is looking for work taking care of infants. D'oh! When I asked her if she had a license, she didn't know what that meant. Okaaaaaaay... what that means is if you want to take care of children in your home, you have to have a license. If we run an ad without a license number, the state will call you and then they'll call us.
You know, I've always thought that I was a pretty good communicator. I've been in sales for more than 20 years. I've not had any complaints about my writing being hard to follow or difficult to understand. So it must be them and not me. But there are so many of them!
