I'm home today, because my digestive system is in a state of rebellion. I have what my mom used to call a "rumbly tummy." At the time I usually leave for work, I was curled up in a ball on my bed. Ouchie! I made some tea, and managed to nibble on some toast. My tummy is still rumbling. I think it may be time to return to the fetal position soon.

a little better
Sep. 7th, 2006 03:29 pmI'm feeling a wee bit better than I did this morning, but I sure am glad I stayed home. There's no way I would've made it through the work day. I'm still feeling kinda crampy. I don't know if it was something I ate, or perhaps some kind of bug. Unpleasant is the nicest, most delicate way I can describe it. I'm hoping I can manage to go out for a walk later on. I'm missing what appears to be a really nice day! It's been so grey lately, I'd hate to miss it completely. At least my poor, raggedy plants are getting some sunshine for a change.
Hmmm, going out would involve getting dressed, wouldn't it? Maybe I'll think about that for a while.

From Yahoo: 'Idol' Singer Clay Aiken May Serve Bush. Do you even need a punch line? From the story:
Clay Aiken is in line to be named to the President's Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities, the White House said Wednesday.
I know it's not a joke, and I'm not making fun of the committee (or the people it helps), it's just that the words President's Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities are so ironic. *g*
