I'm holding down the fort here today, and so far it's been quite dull. My day has consisted mostly of people bringing in last minute entries for the coloring contest. There are some really creative kids out there! It will be hard to choose a winner, I am sure. My vote goes to the seven-year-old who glued eyes to the figures (a witch and cat on a broom) as well as bats, a moon, and a broom made from toothpicks and straw. Oh yes, and orange hair with a pom-pom at the tip of her hat. I am pleased to see that very few kids have made the witch green.

The candidate who won the Republican primary for State Senate came in to get extra copies of the paper, so his grandmother could put his picture on her refrigerator. That was sweet. He doesn't have much of a chance against his opponent, but he seems to be a nice enough fellow (for a Republican ;-))

My boss came out to cover the phone while I went to lunch. I forgot to bring something to read this morning, so I had to borrow a magazine. I have a new book waiting for me at the library; must remember to stop there on the way home. Yay for new things to read!

I finished watching the last of the Lost season 2 DVDs last night. If you're a fan, it's definitely worth a watch, although I don't know if I'd buy it. There's a fun little feature on Sawyer and all the names he comes up with for the other characters. I wouldn't mind having him come up with a nickname for me. *g*
