one Beltane down, two to go
Apr. 29th, 2007 08:26 amYesterday's Beltane ritual at the barn in Grafton was a lot of fun, and a great success!
firespirit1 estimated we had about 75 participants, and the weather held until after we had all gone inside for the feast.
Once again, we had a Morris troupe to teach us dances and lead the maypole weaving. I have to say that as I get older, it gets harder to keep up the energy to dance and weave for so long! I'm envisioning a shorter maypole (or watching from the sidelines) as we age. *g*
I left before the needfire ritual was to happen, but by then it was raining in earnest, and I hear it has been postponed. By the time I got home, the clouds were breaking up, and there was a lovely line of pink in the sky to the west.
It was a fun day, and I have two more Beltanes to go!
