I walked down to the Colonial Harvest Days festival this morning, and it was a lot of fun. They had hayrides, people in costumes, lots of crafts, and music & food. The neatest part, for me, was that they opened up the old burying ground, which I didn't even know about until this week. It dates from colonial times, with the oldest headstone dating from the 1680s. It's quite hidden, being totally surrounded by houses and apartments, and off the beaten path. I chatted with the fella who was handing out literature, and wandered around taking lots of pictures. What a neat place!
I've run out of time to upload the pix, so there are more coming, but click the link to see what I've done so far. I'm off now to Conjure Cinema, to see part 2 of The Dark Secret of Harvest Home. Happy Saturday!
