JK Rowling admits something that a lot of us suspected: Dumbledore was gay. I did think that young Albus was rather taken with Grindelwald. How tragic that his great love turned into his mortal enemy!

I've not been to a lot of concerts in my life, and Tori Amos is only the second I've seen twice (the first was Ian Anderson/ Jethro Tull). This show couldn't have been more different than the first, which was for her To Venus and Back release.

on to the show )

I love Tori's music, and she's an amazing performer. Her voice is just incredible in its range and power, and she uses it well. I'm so glad I got the chance to see her again! Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] perseph12 for inviting me along.

I met my friends Cymbri & Rob at Forest Park in Springfield this afternoon, where I took a bunch of pictures of this mausoleum, the statue of the three graces, and a bunch of other scenic spots. Click the link to see lots more!

I am ashamed to admit that this is the first time I've ever been inside the park. I pass it every day on my way to work, and I can even see the statue from the highway. It took Cymbri nudging me to make it there, and what a beautiful place it is! They're already setting up for Bright Nights, which is their Christmas lights display.

After the park, we headed to B&N for the monthly meet & greet, which was small but fun. Nice group of folks. I got a Reiki treatment & shoulder massage from Donna, who noticed that I was a bit tired. That sure charged me up! I got a nice compliment from Padraig & Leah, who had blown up one of my photos and wanted me to sign it. It was a sunset I had taken in the cemetery. Hee!

Since I was halfway there already, I headed up to Trader Joe's for some good grub. My treat this time was dark chocolate-covered pistachios. Yum! They didn't have some of my faves, but they did have the ginger granola I love. They also have unsweetened soy milk, for a lot cheaper than Silk.

'Twas a lovely day, and warm enough to wear a t-shirt. It looks like we're at peak color this weekend, and tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer, so there will probably be more pix. :)
