Jan. 6th, 2008 03:41 pmI made it out to the wildlife sanctuary today, and it was a lovely day for a walk. There were a lot of people there; some were cross-country skiing, like this pair, some were snowshoeing, some just walking their dogs. The snow is really soft, and the river is frozen over.
I expected the snow to muffle sounds, but the crows' calls echoed through the woods and voices carried. I heard, then saw a robin (silly bird- should've gone south!) who was hopping around a tree with his bluejay buddy.
I went to visit the ducks & geese, who were as noisy as usual. Even the squirrels were chattery today. :)
