pleasant day

It was a lovely late summer day, which I took advantage of by going out into the woods. I took the path into the unofficial part of the wildlife sanctuary, where I went farther than ever before and found a whole new place, with fields and flowers and fences. The sky was wonderful, with big puffy clouds and bright sunshine, and the river was calm, bubbling its way downstream over big rocks.

On the way back, I found another secret path, this one along the river. It came out just a few yards from the other secret path, so I will likely remember where it is. I found some very cool fungi, and a few leaves that are starting to turn red or yellow. I saw an apple on the ground that looked like it had been nibbled by a deer. It was a very nice walk.
