My Uncle Ed passed away the other day, after a long battle with lymphoma. Ed was a great guy who delighted in hosting the annual family reunion, and driving his collection of vintage John Deere tractors. He was a Vietnam veteran who was wounded terribly, but never complained. He was a quiet guy with a gentle sense of humor (unlike the majority of his siblings *g*), and absolutely everyone loved him without reservation. He will be dearly missed.
I wish I could make it down to Binghamton for the funeral, but it's on Monday, and I'm working alone that day. My thoughts and my heart will be there with my family, though.
