it's a day
Apr. 7th, 2011 03:03 pmIt's a lovely day out there; I spent lunchtime at the park, where the skunk cabbage is shooting up in earnest and the birds are busily rooting around in the leaf litter for juicy tidbits.
It's been a day of getting used to the new computer (which I like, so far... Windows 7 *definitely* reminds me of my beloved Mac, which isn't a bad thing, I suppose). Everything's pretty much the same, it just looks a little different, and is sometimes in a slightly different place. Getting used to the new keyboard and mouse, too. Finding all of my old bookmarks (and remembering all my passwords) has been a task, too. I'm sure I lose a few every time I get updated.
I even remembered to bring in the disc with the camera transfer software on it, so I can upload from here. Yay for pictures at work. :)
So now it's mostly getting the kinks out, and tweaking things as I come across them.
A bunch of my coworkers are at the wake for another coworker's father. Since it's in Westfield, I figured I'd go after work. It'll be a nice after-work walk.
