I've been a bad blogger; nothing for a week! Mostly because nothing very interesting has been happening. I spent the long weekend walking, reading, writing, and doing laundry. Not very exciting. The weather has been mostly muggy and dreary, but at least there haven't been any more floods, or fire like there is in Texas. I've been keeping all my TX friends and relatives in my thoughts, and praying for the safety of everyone.

Mostly, I've been trying to figure out how to get myself out of this hole I'm in. No brilliant ideas have come to me, but I'm trying to be open to all possibilities. I have a pretty clear idea of where I want to be, but no good plan to get there. The best I can come up with is "win the lottery," which I have no control over, so it's a pretty feeble plan.

It's been a week of being poor, so I've been in "what's in the freezer?" mode. I did find a steak in there, thanks mom. Tonight it was peanut noodles. Hurray for pasta.

So yeah, pretty dull and dreary. But at least my state isn't on fire. That's something, I guess.
