Another family reunion has come and gone. It was good to see everyone. There's a new crop of little ones to pass around and squee over (check out the best baby picture ever, taken by my cousin Hannah). The weather was nice: not too hot, not raining. Some folks were missing, including my aunt, who had to deal with a sick kitty cat. Some folks we haven't seen for a while were there. We managed to herd everyone for the family portrait. It was the usual, which is comforting and good.

It was strange too, in a way. The vibe was off. I don't know if it was Mercury retrograde fallout (which often happens in the days after it goes direct) or what, but things felt a little weird. I had an epic fail, which I feel badly about but not enough to explain. I let people down.

But there were s'mores, and cousins, and laughs, and ice cream in the rain. Plus bratwurst, spiedies, potato salad, cousin Jen's banana pudding, horses, donkeys, dogs, and cows. Like I said, the usual. :)
