apple country
Sep. 15th, 2013 04:13 pmI'm loving this cooler weather. This is why I love September. I went over to Danforth Falls for a walk this afternoon, and it was so nice in the woods. The water was very low, the falls were more of a trickle, but I ventured further up into the woods than I've been before. My favorite shot I took today is this one, which I took with my phone.
Since I was headed in that direction anyway, I went up to Bolton Orchards afterward for some fresh cider, and doughnuts that I watched get made. Of course I ate one in the car; that's tradition! I had considered heading over to Honey Pot Hill instead, but figured it would be crowded with city folk out picking apples today. Foursquare informed me that Honey Pot Hill is trending today, so I think I made the right call. I can go there another time. Bolton Orchards was plenty crowded for me.
I love living in apple country. It reminds me of central New York, where I went to high school. Orchards everywhere. Orchards and vineyards.
