in search of spring

I have been in dire need of some spring, so on my way back from mom's today, I stopped at the Arnold Arboretum, hoping to find some signs.



The sun had disappeared, but it was still fairly mild. I found snowdrops popping up beneath the bare trees, and most of the snow was gone. One adorable little girl in a princess dress found the trees irresistible.

By then, it had started raining lightly so I headed back to the car and home. My spirit has been lifted by the little signs of spring I found in one of my favorite places. Hopefully spring will come for real, and soon!
