I see folks are already doing their 'end of the year- first lines' meme, and since it's a slow morning, I thought I'd see what I've been up to for the past year. Here are the first lines from each month this year on LJ:
January: "So here we are, on the day we break out the new calendars."
February: "I went for a walk down to Heritage Park today, and took a few photos."
March: "I've been busy all day today, which is a good thing."
April: "Today was Take It Easy Day at Chateau LizzieBelle."
May: "This is where I *should* have been this morning, singing & dancing in the May with a bunch of sleepy Pagans at dawn."
June: "Thunderstorm!"
July: "Very happy birthday wishes today to
ccfinlay!"
August: "It's up to 88 degrees, and getting muggier by the minute."
September: "So far, this Friday morning has been quiet."
October: "So, obviously I am not at Pagan Pride."
November: "Today is the first day of NaNoWriMo, and I actually got some writing done at lunch, albeit on a steno pad."
December: "The paper is done, but unlike last week, I'm here until the bitter end."
Ye gods, two months began with events I was missing, and another two with the weather. Am I really that dull? ;)
