I switched insurance today, mainly because they were offering a group discount to our company, but also because my old insurance agency is in Boston, and they changed over to a company I don't especially like. I figured it's about time I got a local agent. She was very nice & helpful, filling out all my forms for me and coming here with them. Oh, and she told me I can get reimbursed for the towing last week: I had thought the towing coverage was just for accidents, but she said it's for *all* towing, and I should send them the receipt and a request for the $20 back. Woot! Another good thing is that they take payments directly from my checking account, in 52 equal payments instead of the balloon payment my old company asks for, then ten months of slightly decreasing payments. And I don't have to remember to make a payment every month. Yay for one less thing to remember. She even takes care of cancelling my old policy.

In our department meeting last week, I had asked that all the new folks be trained on the postage machine; they (and selected other, non-newbie employees) were just leaving mail for us to run through the machine, and I wasn't happy that it was assumed that it's our job. It's not. It just happens to be in our part of the office. Today, boss lady sent out an email saying if anyone needs training on the postage machine, to see me, Diane, or Kim. *Sigh* It's an improvement, I suppose! At least she mentioned that everyone is responsible for their own mail.
