the view from the driver's seat

I went down to Heritage Park on my break, parked in the shade, rolled down the windows, and read (current book: John Crowley's Little, Big). I then watched this police car drive across the park and proceed to get stuck in the mud. He spun his tires for a while before giving up. For all I know, he's still sitting there. *g*
I also took a pic of my dash and the trees over my head. The ultimate in lazy photography.
It's looking good for an on-time departure this afternoon; we will definitely be done by 5, and probably even before Kim leaves at 4. There'll be no grumbling posts about still being here *this* week. Which is good, because I'm heading over to Grafton tonight to do the Temple of Isis meditation with the coven. I haven't done that in a long time! Looking forward to it. Must remember to bring pillows.
Ah, it's so nice to have the windows open! Traffic noise and all. :)
